On the day itself you can find the Live Blog here. Note that this “day” continues until 3 June in the morning (between Nice and Pontedera-Casciana Terme)

Map for this day

Please note: the definitive timetable for this #CrossBorderRail extra day is always the one in the Google Sheet. The full route map is on umap here.

The scandalous line – the high speed route from Barcelona to Perpignan that has only 2 trains a day each way on it, off season, and 3 in the summertime. I did not manage to take this line in 2022 as a French train strike thwarted me, so I am hopeful it will work this time. Then I am going across southern France as fast as I can (which is not very fast!) and continuing the following morning into Italy. My destination is a small village near Pontedera-Casciana Terme – for a friend’s wedding. But why not make a bit of a rail trip out of it?
