This one has been a while in planning, but I am happy I can now announce how the #CrossBorderRail event in Oslo is going to work.
The event will be between 13:00 and 15:00 on Friday 17 June in a room off Passasjen at Oslo Central Station (Oslo S) (map) – Bane NOR has made the room available for us. The speeches will start at 13:30, and I will come to the event directly from the train from Stockholm.
Look out for #CrossBorderRail signs at the entrance to the location in Passajen! Attendance is free, but you need to signup please – use the form here.
The event will be moderated by Kristian S. Aas (follow him on Twitter: @kristianaas) – Kristian is one of the team behind the immensely successful Togferie Facebook group. I will then present the #CrossBorderRail project, and the author and journalist Sigrid Elsrud (follow her on Twitter: @selsrud) will tell the stories from her new book “Ferie med tog; reiseglede langs skinnene” (“Holidays by train; the joy of travel along the tracks“). Johan Vasara, State Secretary at the Ministry of Transport, will present the Ministry’s new plans for cross border trains.
I will also stream the event live on Twitter, wifi permitting, for those who cannot be there in person.
