It is now confirmed that there are no passenger trains between Drama and Alexandroupouli in Greece, so here I will need two TrainOSE replacement buses – Drama to Xanthi and Xanthi to Alexandroupouli. From there it is back on a train, as far as Ormenio in the very north easternmost corner of Greece, arriving late afternoon. As there are no trains across the border any more here I will have to hop on my bike to make it back into Bulgaria, and stay overnight (or at least a short night!) in Svilengrad.
