The France – Luxembourg border is full of peculiarities – not least 2 lines (from Audun-le-Tiche and Volmerange-les-Mines) that are on French territory but are only served by train to/from Luxembourg. Testimony to a greater commitment to rail from Luxembourg than from France! So on this day – part by bike and part by train and not actually going to Luxembourg city itself I am going to go and investigate all of these.
