#CrossChannelRail, my latest project, starts Sunday 16th March and runs until Sunday 6th April. As with all of my #CrossBorderRail projects to date there will be lots of ways to follow it online.
Every day there will be a thread on Mastodon – you can follow me @jon@gruene.social there. This will explain what stations and trains I am testing that day, and even the trains that are not Channel Tunnel relevant will be assessed. The thread will be quite high quantity and intensity! That thread will be bridged to Bluesky here.
The thread from Mastodon will be automatically turned into a live blog each day on this website, with those blogs going live each morning. And photos, maps and videos will also be drawn into the live blog pages. You can find the latest live blogs here.
Some posts throughout the day will also be on my main Bluesky account – you can follow me there @jonworth.eu – but as there are many non-rail people the posts on Bluesky will be fewer in number than on Mastodon.
Once in a while some updates will be posted on LinkedIn as well – my profile is here. However that network does not lend itself as well to live coverage of a project like this.
Every day there will be a video to introduce the day, and a video summary at the end of the day. These will go on Peertube @jon@peertube.netzbegruenung.de and will be cross posted into the Mastodon thread as well.
Some of the events along the route might be live streamed – if so the links to these streams will appear in the Mastodon thread too, and the technology used for the stream will depend on the location.
Last but not least, a few major updates might be sent to my newsletter subscribers, but only the most important posts – including this one to explain how to follow the project! But I aim to keep email to a minimum.
