As was the case in 2022 and 2023, I will be organising and attending a variety of events throughout #CrossBorderRail in 2024.

Although the 6 non-EU countries in South East Europe are my focus for 2024, I am nevertheless making a rather large diversion to Tallinn at the start of the trip for an event there about Rail Baltica, before then heading south via Warszawa and Budapest towards Sarajevo.

There will essentially be 3 types of events. Events that are happening and I am invited to attend, and I have scheduled my trip to be in those places at the right time (Tallinn, Sarajevo). The second type are formal events I will organise with people and organisations I know on the ground (likely in Warszawa, Zagreb, Čakovec, Skopje, Tirana, Podgorica) – these will also be live streamed. The third type are informal gatherings over a coffee or a beer to chat (likely in Stockholm, Vilnius, Beograd, Osijek, Pristina).
