Today’s background

I have crossed the border between Essen (Belgium) and Rosendaal (Netherlands) many times in the past when the old Beneluxtrein passed that way. Today only 1 train per hour does, and there has been a dispute about how to best improve this. I will investigate on my bike, and that will be the 201st border of the #CrossBorderRail project. I will cross back into Belgium where the former “Vicinal” 1000mm tramway – Zandvliet 🇧🇪 – Bergen op Zoom 🇳🇱 used to run, but there is no hope to re-activate that one.
